The Three Branches of Government include the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches.
The Three Branches serve as a check and balance in our government. One branch does not have more power than the other two.
Judicial Branch: Headed by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court interprets the Constitution and hears cases about a citizen's rights.
Legislative Branch: Headed by Congress. What is Congress? It includes the House of Representatives and the Senate. Congress creates the laws.
Executive Branch: Headed by the President of the United States (POTUS). The President carries out the federal laws and recommends new ones.
